Your Path to the Crown
We’re always on the lookout for the next wave of confident, creative, shake‑it‑til‑you‑make‑it superstars to join our team. If you’ve got the personality, the professionalism, and the passion for great drinks and great people — you might just be our next Cocktail Queen.
Step 1.
Check you have what it takes
Before you dive in, make sure you meet our core requirements.
The following are non-negotiables:
✅ RSA
✅ Probationary or full drivers licence WITH your own car
✅ Great personality
✅ Have undertaken a general bar course or worked in the industry for a minimum of 2 years.
✅Work well with others and independently - can think on there feet.
Step 4.
Get ready to shake things up!
If successful, you’ll move into onboarding — including our online training modules covering OHS, service standards, uniforms, and event etiquette.
You will receive access to our rostering app to commence your first event.
Working with The Cocktail Queen
What award rate do you pay?
We pay Hospitality Award Level 2 and 3 — and once you level up to Senior or Pro Mixologist, you’ll score above‑award Saturday rates. Queens get rewarded for their crown.
Do I get reimbursed for travel?
Yep! Travel is reimbursed after 25km each way, at the rate in our Travel Policy. Most people drive further than this for everyday jobs and get nothing — so consider this a little Cocktail Queen perk.
Do I have to work every Saturday?
It is hospitality… Saturdays are where the magic happens. But you can absolutely roster yourself off when you need a break, a birthday, or a weekend of being fabulous elsewhere.
Do I have to work New Year’s Eve?
Yes — NYE is an all‑hands‑on‑deck moment. The good news? We pay very generously, and the vibes are unmatched. It’s the biggest party of the year.
Do I have to wear a uniform?
Yes — we love a matching moment. Uniforms keep the team looking polished, premium, and unmistakably Cocktail Queen.
Do I have to complete the online training?
Absolutely. It covers OHS, crew info, policies, procedures, uniforms, and how we do things the CQ way. It’s your backstage pass before stepping into the spotlight.
When will I know if I have the job?
You’ll hear from us fast — you’ll receive an email within 48 hours of your online interview letting you know if you’re joining the Cocktail Queen crew. Get excited… the crown might be coming your way.
