SOME THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BECOME PART OF THE TEAM!

 

We work on Saturday nights predominately.  

If you love hospitality then you know working on a Saturday night is a given.  However in saying that the Boss is pretty flexible.  If you need a Saturday night of because of something important ie a mates 21st then all we ask is that you tell us 3 weeks.  We have a DIY roster system so you actually roster yourself off. 

 

You must own a car, and have a valid drivers licence.  

As we are a mobile company we go here, there and everywhere, so your own car (not your mates) is a must.  You must be also willing to travel to places far and wide.... well not that far.  Yes we do service the Geelong region and we do get bookings as far as Sale and Traralgon.  If you are willing to travel we will give you the work.  But don't worry all our staff are compensated with travel and petrol allowance, and also now a toll allowance. Not all staff are willing to travel and we completely understand so if that's you just let us know and we will only roster you on for Melbourne based gigs.

 

You must have an RSA and Food Handlers Safety Certificate.  Upon joining you must submit your RSA, the food handlers can be submitted at a later date.  We actively enforce RSA and no RSA unfortunately you can't work until you have one.  

 

You must be okay to work around some nude people.  

Yes its no secret we work with the boys from Puppetry Private Parties and also Magic Men, so we see some full frontal nudity at times.  This is part of the package with hens party's.  As 50% of our work is hens parties a lot of the events you will undertake will be hens, so if you aren't comfortable let us know and we can allocate you to other types of events.

 

You must have personality plus!!

We love outgoing, sociable friendly people.  People who can talk to anyone like they have known them for years, but still remain professional when required.  If you have cocktail making experience, well this is great but not a must - we provide on the job training.

Your path to making cocktails happens in 3 steps!

STEP 1.  COMPLETE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

So before you complete the online app form you will need the following; TFN details, Super details, Bank account details, a reference (mobile phone and name). No need to send a resume, the online app form is complete in telling us all we need to know about you. You will also need to email a copy of your RSA to martini@cocktailqueen.com.au also.  Also note that once you apply, you could be asked to start work the very next weekend, so be ready.

 

STEP 2. UNDERTAKE ONLINE INDUCTION COURSE

Upon successfull application you will receive a link to undertake your induction course, which details our operational procedures, policies, pay rates, rostering etc.  You will be required to adhere to and accept a-lot of these policys prior to commencement.  

STEP 3. UNDERTAKE FIRST EVENT

You are then sent a job sheet detailing where your first event is.  Don't worry we won't be sending you out by yourself, you are partnered with one of our experienced Senior Mixologists during the induction period for on the job training.  The job sheet will detail where, when, start  and finish times and what you will be doing.
