HOW DOES IT WORK
Weddings can quickly become costly, and a BYO DIY wedding is fast becoming very popular. Our BYO wedding packages are where we supply the staff to make the cocktails and serve your drinks, provide all the glassware and barware, and you simply supply the alcohol. These packages differ slightly to that of the standard BYO packages in that they include additional prep and pack-down time which in our expereience is always needed. Just follow the 5 steps below to book in your staff service package for your wedding.
Ensure when you are working out which package to book you check out the "things you need to know" first about calculating service hours. If you are unsure just contact us for a total quote.
If you are requiring a BYO package with place-setting glassware package and floor service, contact us for a quote.
CHOOSE SERVICE
PACKAGE
The first step is to choose which service package you require (scroll down below).
Your service package is based on how many guests are attending and how many hours of actual bar service you require.
The service packages include
The Mixologists
ALL the general and cocktail glassware
and Barware to make the cocktails.
These packages have the prep and post-pack down service already factored into them also, suitable for weddings. Staff also serve your standard beer and wine at your event.
PAY $300
DEPOSIT
To book your BYO Wedding Package we require a $300 deposit AND completion of the booking form. Final payment is not due until 14 days prior to the event. Wedding confirmation numbers may change and we may need to upgrade or downgrade your service package depending on how many rsvps you get.
These packages are our fastest and best selling packages and we book out quickly weeks and months (for busy wedding season) in advance.
We don't hold dates without deposits or payment.
When you book and pay in full (only at time of booking) we give you 5% discount on these packages.
CHOOSE COCKTAILS
The fun stuff!
Now you have booked you then receive an email giving you access to view our cocktail menus. Menus are only available to view once a booking has been made.
You can choose one of our set menus which have 6 different cocktails on each, or you can choose a "Pick n Mix" menu.
To choose from the "Pick n Mix" menu for an additional small cost.
For weddings you can choose to serve cocktails at different times... Aperol and Pink Gin Spritzs on arrival of guests or pre-ceremony, and perhaps bring those espresso martinis out a little later in the night. We can go through all of this with you once booked.
RECEIVE SHOPPING LIST
Lets go shopping!
Once you have chosen your cocktail menu you then receive your shopping list.
Your shopping list details all the alcohol, mixes to make the cocktails and garnishes that you need to purchase. We even detail how many bags of ice you need to make the cocktails.
If you have chosen a set menu you will have access to the shopping list automatically. If you have chosen a "Pick n Mix", the shopping list is sent to you via email within 48 hours.
GET READY TO PARTY!
Its time to get ready to party...but don't worry we have it all sorted.
Make sure you check the DIY Bar Setup checklist we sent you with the cocktail menus on how to setup your bar area.
And with your wedding we work with you in providing that run sheet for your big day as to what barstaff will be required to do.
Your glassware and any additional items you may have hired such as bar top tubs or trestle tables will arrive a day or two before your event (we confirm this with you two weeks prior to your wedding day).
And lastly staff will arrive to prepare the bar well ahead of time before your guests arrive.
BYO WEDDING SERVICE PACKAGES
These are all inclusive packages, we have worked out all the prep requirement times and post-event pack down requirements also, plus the amount of glassware you need. These are the only packages which we offer 5% discount on when paying in full at time of booking.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW...
Before you book make sure you have taken into consideration all the following.
FLOOR SERVICE
If you are wanting staff to stand at the door upon your guests arrival with trays in hand or want staff attending to tables.. you need to contact us for a quote.
You need additional staff for floor service. When you don't hire enough staff for the service level your bar service will be compromised.
SERVICE HOURS
Ensure you factor the right service hours in to consideration. If you are having your ceremony and reception in the same location you need to ensure the service hours start before or at time of ceremony. We don't prepare bars during ceremonys.
Example.
Ceremony is at 4pm, and you want drinks to start at 4.30pm followed by a 4.5 hour wedding reception you need to book a 5 hour service package.
Example...
Guests are arriving at 3.30pm and you want drinks served upon their arrival, ceremony is at 4pm, and you want drinks to resume at 4.30pm followed by a 5 hour wedding reception, you will need to book a 6 hour service package.
PLACE-SETTING GLASSWARE
The BYO Wedding packages include all the glassware required to operate a bar at a wedding. It does not include table-setting or place-setting glassware.
If you require individual place-setting glassware you need to contact us for a quote.
Staff will collect, wash and return glassware at events...just like in a standard bar. Ensure you have adequate washing up facilities at your DIY wedding and easy access for staff to access these facilities during the event.
PURCHASING YOUR INGREDIENTS
Once you get your shopping list, make sure you don't skim on the ingredients. If you don't provide all the ingredients our Mixologists can't make all your chosen cocktails!
We recommend certain brands but ultimately the decision is up to you.
We currently don't offer shopping lists for beer and wine purchases but that is coming soon!
STAFF UNIFORM
Our staff come in Cocktail Queen uniform: all black with a discreet logo on the shirt.
If you are wanting staff dressed in particular themed outfits you do need to supply these, including any tops and tail suits if your wedding is exclusive.

MENUS
We have lots of cocktails on our menus.. and they are only available to view once you book.
When you choose one of the set menus, their is a printable A4 menu you can print out to display on the bar.... you simply pop it in a A4 photo frame.
If you choose the "Pick n Mix" menu we can provide you with a choice of printed menus for your event for an additional cost or you can provide your own.
TRAVEL CHARGES
Travel charges are calculated from our base in South Melbourne to your location. If you are unsure check on google maps the distance.
At time of quotation we will give you an accurate fee.
0-10kms $49 collective fee
11-20kms $59 collective fee
21-30kms $69 collective fee
31-40kms $89 collective fee
41-60kms $99 collective fee
61-70kms $120 per staff person
71-89kms $140 per staff person
90-110kms $160 per staff person
STAFF TRAVEL DETAILS
Yes we charge a travel fee for our staff to get to your location. They are using their own cars and we have to compensate them for petrol and time spent in the car...especially for those really far away events.
Our travel fees are either collective or per person. If it's collective it's just a once only fee. If it's per person...then it's per staff person attending your event.
REGIONAL TRAVEL
Please note for events greater than 1 hour travelling time from Melbourne CBD we enforce a strict end time policy for staff to be working at these events to finish no later than 11pm. This ensure that they get back to city limits within the hour.
Our staffs' safety especially on the road is paramount, and this policy is enforced at all times.

DELIVERY DETAILS
Yes we charge delivery fees for our glassware hire packages. Glassware does not arrive or depart at any time with staff.
Our delivery rates INCLUDE the pick-up also. It's a given we have to charge delivery considering the cost of petrol.
For all Saturday events we deliver on the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, well ahead ready for the weekend.
You are notified the start of the your event week what day glassware will be delivered and again picked-up.
POST EVENT PICK-UP
All glassware is picked up post event from Sundays 12pm onwards.
All glassware plus any additional items you may have hired including bar top tubs, trestle tables, eskys etc must be placed left on the front porch or in another designated space.
All glassware needs to be placed back in to the rack system before being left out. Again it doesn't have to be washed.
In some circumstances we may pick up on the Monday also.
